St Twynnells: Snowman Festival set to spread festive cheer

A SNOWMAN FESTIVAL is coming to the church in St Twynnells this Christmas.

In order to raise funds for the church and the village hall, the novel festival is being held from December 14-18.

There will be many snowman scenes decorating the church, as well as a family carol service on December 15 at 6pm, which has been arranged by Mrs Gloria Stenson. It will also provide an opportunity to welcome the new vicar, Rev Josh Maynard, to the district.

The Festival is open from 10:30am to 5pm.

Snowmen of all shapes and sizes will be attending and refreshments will be available – with lots of home cooked cakes promised.

When planning the event, the residents of St Twynnells remembered that Mrs Pauline Ball, who had been unwell at that time, had wanted to have a winter wonderland type of festival the previous year. They decided that she might enjoy a Snowman event and is now being held in her honour.

Residents are very pleased that Pauline and her family are producing a snowman scene to join in with the event.
