THIS INCREDIBLE footage shows the moment a man was rescued from a precarious cliff ledge at Newgale Beach.
UK Coastguard received a 999 call from three men who had been cut off from the tide just before 8pm last Thursday (July 13).
RNLI lifeboats and the UK Coastguard’s search and rescue helicopter based at St Athan were sent to the scene.
Two men were rescued by the lifeboat but the third man had climbed the cliff to escape the incoming tide and was in a very dangerous position.
The helicopter airlifted the uninjured man to safety.
