POLICE have confirmed that an 8-year-old boy who was hospitalised after being hit by a van in Haverfordwest on March 19 has now returned home.
He was one of three people to be injured in the incident, including a woman and a young child, during which a white Ford Transit mount the pavement and crash into a barrier on Sydney Rees Way.
The driver of the van was also transported to hospital following the crash for examination.
Dyfed-Powys Police have said that the boy is now recovering with his family, after spending time in Withybush Hopsital and the Heath Hospital in Cardiff.
The cause of the crash is not yet known. Last week, a Dyfed-Powys spokesperson said: “A BT van (white Ford Transit) left the road and mounted the pavement and collided with three pedestrians – a female adult and two children.
“Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the van on Sydney Rees Way just prior to the collision or the collision itself to contact PC 492 Stephen Thomas by calling 101.”
