Peacocks donate £5,000 to Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal

£5,000 donation: To Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal

ELLY’S APPEAL has 5,000 reasons to say thank-you to Mr Philip Day (CEO) and all at the Head Office in Cardiff of Peacocks.

Family fashion retailer, Peacocks has donated £5,000 to Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal. What an amazing day Elly had on when she went to meet Lauren Day (Group Business Development Manager) and her colleagues Charlotte (Merchandising Director), Mandy (Buying Director), and another Charlotte (Marketing & PR).

Elly was treated like a princess and taken out for lunch. She went home with just a few items for her wardrobe and a cheque for £5,000 for the appeal.

Elly enjoyed the whole experience and said she fancies working for Peacocks now. She was very proud to tell everyone that she wore her posh Peacocks shoes to the House of Lords to receive her British Citizens Youth Award.

Elly’s dad, Lyn, said: “Thank you to all at Peacocks for your amazing generosity, support and hospitality. Your help is very much appreciated by us and all the nurses, staff and patients on Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.”

Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal is raising funds for Patient Experience and Environment on the Ward 10 (Cancer Ward) at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.

Peacocks said: “We heard about the appeal and decided to donate £5,000 to this amazing cause which has now tipped the total fundraising to over £70,000. The team were excited to meet Elly and present the cheque at Peacocks HQ in Cardiff. Peacocks also presented Elly with some of their latest SS17 collection girls wear and accessories to congratulate her on her efforts.”

Elly and her family are continuing to seek donations via their Just Giving page: and please give the Facebook page a like  by searching for Ward 10 Flag.
